Just carried out a fresh install of Windows7 and did a windows update once after installation and subsequent updates came up with the error 800710DD to which I am yet to find a resolution or fix to even online. can anyone help?

It may write a record on your hosts file.How did you inactive the WSUS server? To remove entries from the hosts file, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, and then click Run.2.
